We’re in the eye of the Faux-E3 storm today, with Summer Game Fest having kicked things off last night alongside Day of the Devs and Devolver’s usual shenanigans, and with Xbox, Ubisoft and plenty more to come over the weekend. Today though? Well, there’s not much happening today.
My meaningful gaming time has been a little bit limited this past week, though I shared my thoughts on RoboCop: Rogue City and Gangs of Sherwood, which I got to see and play a fortnight ago. They’re both games that could be a pleasant surprise by the time they release later this year.
Aran gets things started this week having finished off his run through the Gears 5 Hivebusters DLC. It was “a fun departure from the main story, and I hope to see more of Scorpio Squad in the future.” Alongside that it was the arcade shooter Curved Space and some Fall of Porcupine for a review coming next week.
Nic B is up to his usual schtick with Pokémon Go, now that he’s finished The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. He also wiped Marvel Snap from his phone after feeling it was becoming “more of a habit than fun.”
“It’s that time of decade”, so Gamoc has been playing Diablo IV for our review, and it’s been about as good as he could possibly have hoped for. He’s also continued on with a smidgeon of Dead Island 2, and found it to be far, far better than he thought it would be.
Reuben has been playing FUGA: Melody of Steel 2 to wrap up our review of the animal-filled warring RPG. He’s really enjoying it, at least. He’s also continued on with his quest to hit Master Rank in Pokémon Unite, and smashing through the latest Raid content in Final Fantasy XIV.
Mr. Nick P has, quite naturally, been playing Street Fighter 6, which is dominating his gaming time as he hunts
