Reddit user WishfulWren has created a new type of Mega Evolution for Lucario and Gyarados. Called Perma Mega, or permanent Mega Evolution, Lucario appears in Mega Evolved form with a cape on its back while holding a Honedge, with a Pawniard at its side. According to the lore created by the OP, this Lucario acts as the «king» of one of Lumiose City's districts, ruling with an iron fist. Gyarados is one of the Gen 1 Pokemon that can Mega Evolve, and the concept of Perma Mega turns it into a scary creature that hides in the sewers under Lumiose, wreaking havoc on the Pokemon that live there.
According to the concept of permanent Mega Evolution created by the author, these mega-evolved Pokemon have no bond with a trainer and can't return to their original state.
