An inspired pasta-themed redesign of Tangela by a Pokemon fan is gaining traction for being clever and cute at the same time. The tasty makeover wouldn't look out of place alongside other food-themed Pokemon found in the series, either.
The Pokemon series now has over a thousand creatures to encounter, and these days, that includes quite a few variants on existing species. Regional forms, Mega Evolutions, Gigantamax transformations, and Shiny Pokemon all play a role in the series, adding unique twists on Pokemon, including those that have been around from the beginning of the franchise. It's also making a hand gesture similar to those seen in Italian culture.
While these reimaginings would be cute enough on their own, fans are particularly impressed with the Shiny Pokemon variants that Just-Drawing-Mons came up with. The designs are the same, but the red has been replaced with green, likely inspired by pesto, a type of sauce made of pine nuts and basil. Whether Pokemon fans prefer red or green pasta sauce, this Fairy-type redesign would be a fun way for the games to revitalize Tangela's design.
