Developer Pocketpair has officially confirmed that the Palworld PvP arena will be added to the open world survival game this summer. Pocketpair had teased fans that it would have a presence at the recent Triple-I event, and so many likely tuned in to get their best glimpse at Palworld PvP action to date.
Palworld PvP has long been confirmed for the open world survival game. Some of the earlier Palworld trailers show PvP in action, and Pocketpair itself confirmed that PvP was in development as part of the game's content road map. More specific details about what Palworld PvP will entail have yet to be revealed, but fans have been treated to a brief new trailer that shows off an action-packed battle between two Pal tamers.
The teaser trailer shows two teams of three Pals battling it out in an extremely hectic fight. The teams are comprised of fairly powerful Pals, with one of the tamers even having the new raid boss Bellanoir at their disposal. Pal attacks fly wildly around the arena in explosions of vibrant colors and bright lights, with the two tamers utilizing the weapons at their disposal to get involved in the action as well. This brief teaser gives Palworld players a good idea of what to expect from the PvP Arena though they still don't know when it's being added to the game beyond a vague summer 2024 release date.
There are still a lot of unanswered questions when it comes to Palworld PvP, even with the new trailer that's been released. For instance, it's unclear if PvP will only be possible between Palworld players in the same world, or if there will be some kind of matchmaking system. The exact rules of Palworld PvP have not been revealed either, though it does seem as though the mode will be focused on 3v3 battles, if the trailer is any indication.
The Palworld PvP update should go a long way in rejuvenating interest in the open world survival game when it's added this summer. Palworld smashed Steam player count records when it launched in early access
