Pocketpair has teased plans to release a big Palworld update this summer, ahead of the game’s Arena mode later in the year.
“This summer, a major update that will add a new island with a new species of Pals, new buildings, weapons, and more is scheduled to release,” the studio said.
It also confirmed that the recently announced Arena mode won’t arrive this summer as one teaser trailer stated.
“In the arena teaser, it stated that the arena would release in ‘summer 2024’. This was a mistake and should have stated ‘2024’, Pocketpair said.
“We are very sorry for this mistake. We are working hard to prepare the arena for you all as soon as possible.”

Pocketpair has also released a new update designed to address significant issues that have been impacting Xbox players since the launch of the game’s v0.2.0.6 patch on Tuesday.
That update, which hit Steam last week and adds the game’s first raid boss, introduced an issue causing save data to not load correctly.
Amid reports of player progress being wiped, the studio had advised users not to attempt loading multiplayer data while it worked on a fix.
The latest update, which is detailed below, should also fix an issue which meant eggs couldn’t be placed inside the incubator, and a bug that has been stopping raid boss achievements from being unlocked.
The patch also temporarily disables chat in relation to the multiplayer data loading bug.
