NVIDIA has just released a new GeForce Hotfix Driver 531.58 which addresses issues some users may encounter within The Last of Us Part 1 & Resident Evil IV Remake.
There have been reports that users running The Last of Us Part 1 on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 GPU may experience random crashes during gameplay that the new driver addresses. The Last of Us Part 1 was released to lots of criticism by PC gamers for its poor optimization on the platform. Both sides, AMD & NVIDIA, have had their fair share of issues but it seems like the port was more or less rushed without going through quality assurance which led Naughty Dog to issue an apology through its Twitter page.
Besides The Last of Us Part 1, the new GeForce Hotfix Driver 531.58 also fixes a corruption within Resident Evil IV Remake that occurs when FXAA is enabled. There are also some stability issues with Assassin's Creed Origins that are fixed within the hotfix update. For those who want to try out the new drivers, you can head over here to download them. The new fixes will also be available in the upcoming WHQL driver so it's better to wait for that if you aren't experiencing any issues in these titles.
