NVIDIA Announces Launch Date, Pricing for RTX 4070 - Hardcore Gamer
NVIDIA has previously launched three GPUs in its 40-series line with the latest launching Thursday from the NVIDIA website and select retailers for its Founders Edition. The RTX 4070 aims to be the premiere 1440p GPU as it includes DLSS 3 neural rendering, real-time ray-tracing and the ability to run most modern games at over 100 FPS. These includes A Plague Tale: Requiem, Dying Light 2, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide and more. DLSS 3 includes the new frame generation technology for smoother gameplay along with compatibility for NVIDIA Reflex, which also sees Counter-Strike 2 getting compatibility with the technology.
The retail price for the Founders Edition RTX 4070 is $599. NVIDIA states that it is 2.6x faster than the RTX 2070. Stock and factory-overclocked cards will be available from third party providers including ASUS, Colorful, Gainward, GALAX, GIGABYTE, INNO3D, KFA2, MSI, Palit, PNY and Zotac. Origin PC has also announced that it has started conducting pre-builds with the latest RTX 4070, as well.
Lastly, gamers who purchase any of these 40-series cards will be granted the Overwatch 2 Ultimate Battle Pass with an additional 1,000 overwatch 2 Coins, a forty dollar value, for free until May 8.
