Blizzard has confirmed that Diablo 4 has gone gold, meaning that the game's ready to ship ahead of its 6th June release date on PS5 and PS4. A few months back, there were actually some (unsubstantiated) whispers that the action RPG would be delayed to later in the year, but the date has stuck.
This is all following on from immensely popular closed and open beta tests, which the developer has used to adjust the game in meaningful ways based on player feedback.

Of course, it's worth pointing out that June is looking like an especially stacked month. Street Fighter 6 is on for the 2nd, and Final Fantasy XVI is locked in for the 22nd. Hopefully we'll all have enough time to get our fill of Diablo 4 before the other big action RPG of 2023 lands just over a couple of weeks later.

I can’t wait for this! I managed to avoid both open & closed betas. I know this game will be a huge time sink for quite some time.
So that's still lots of work required post beta. Seems like a day 1 patch to me.
Still tempted to pre order, but I've been playing grim dawn and it's quite fun and filling the lack of diablo. Seeing as I bought diablo 3 at least four times, I suspect I'll defo be getting at some point!
