Like it or not, Diablo 4 is set to be a long-term project for Blizzard, through the magic of a live service model. That's not to say the action RPG's going to launch unfinished or anything — the campaign's supposed to be a good 35 hours long, for example — but the intention is to keep adding and refreshing things as the months and years roll by.
But what kind of stuff actually makes Diablo 4 a live service title? Well, we know that it's going to have seasons and a battle pass — and both of these components are going to be explained in more detail next week. Indeed, Blizzard has confirmed that it'll be hosting a livestream on the 10th May, at 11am Pacific / 2pm Eastern / 7pm UK time.
The official announcement reads: «The development team will spell how Diablo 4’s Seasons, Cosmetics, and the completely optional Battle Pass will work.»
