Another graphics card launch is upon us. On April 13, Nvidia will start selling the GeForce RTX 4070, the most affordable GPU in the RTX 4000 desktop series.
Interested buyers should prepare to wake up early. Nvidia and Newegg have already confirmed they’ll start selling the card at 9 a.m. EST/ 6 a.m. PST. And supplies could sell out fast, depending on the demand.
The RTX 4070 will start at $599, including the Founders Edition model from Nvidia. But the product can be priced higher at $679 or even $699, if you buy a model from a third-party vendor.
Typically, Best Buy has been the only vendor to sell the Founders Edition models. But this time, it looks like Nvidia itself will sell the Founders Edition RTX 4070 via its online store, according(Opens in a new window) to a press release. The same store is already selling units for the pricier RTX 4080 at $1,199.
Below is a list of online product listings for the RTX 4070 that should go live tomorrow at or around 6 a.m. PST. Once they do, place your order as quickly as you can before supplies run out. That said, Nvidia’s RTX 4070 Ti failed to immediately sell out on launch day back in January amid sluggish demand for PCs and complaints about high pricing for the RTX 4000 series.
So it’s possible the RTX 4070 could face a cool reception too.
