Two of the blockiest games are joining forces as Tetris comes to Minecraft in its latest DLC. Available now in Minecraft Marketplace, this new addition to the sandbox phenomenon has an interesting twist that smartly combines the two series.
As outlined on the official Minecraft website, the Tetris DLC begins by having you play a pretty normal round of 2D block-stacking. However, the evil Tetrimonster has broken loose of Tetris, and has stolen some of the Tetriminos. Your interrupted round of Tetris then becomes a 3D dungeon, using the pieces you've arranged as the map. That's pretty cool — each time you play, you'll get a new layout.
In this dungeon, you must find the missing Tetriminos, defeat enemies, avoid traps, and get loot. Upon finding the Tetriminos, they'll fill the grid with even more dungeon to explore.
On top of this dungeon crawler mode (which sounds really quite good), you will also be able to play a series of classic Tetris modes in the lobby; Marathon, Sprint, and Ultra are there, with rewards for reaching certain scores.

A DLC for true blockheads.
