Shadowheart has been one of the most beloved characters since the game first hit early access, and a new cosplay brings her to life with a degree of detail that's truly worthy of her iconic status. As an acolyte of the dark goddess Shar, Shadowheart is a memorably conflicted Origin character and potential party member that can add a lot to any campaign. There's a lot of room for her to grow over the course of the game, whether moving toward the light or fully embracing Shar's grim teachings.
Cosplayer Mads_five posted a picture of her newly finished Shadowheart look on X (formerly Twitter), complete with the glorious Spear of Night capable of slaying the Nightsong in Shar's name. The only missing detail is a wig for Shadowheart's dark hair, which Mads_five references in a reply tweet calling it a "" look.
It's hard to overstate how much work has to go into recreating armor with this level of detail, making this particular cosplay an achievement that would be sure to attract the attention of Lady Shar herself. Mads_five started work on the project in January, with a tweet showing off an unpainted Spear of Night kickstarting a long series of progress updates on the complex costume.
This definitely won't be the last that anyone sees of Shadowheart cosplays, as the game's community is going strong eight months after its official release. It's hard to imagine what could top a rendition of Shadowheart's Dark Justiciar armor on this level, however, and it's likely to remain one of the definitive cosplay renditions of the character for a long time to come.
