A fan of Animal Crossing: New Horizons has unveiled eight new characters they've brainstormed that would bring a wide variety of new services to Nintendo's cozy life sim. WhileAnimal Crossing: New Horizons already boasts 36 special NPCs that offer special services, the inclusion of these characters (or something else like them) would provide an even bigger boost to what players can do on their islands.
Debuting back in 2020, New Horizon's special character pool contains a lot of classic NPCs likeshady landlord Tom Nook and Blathers, who are always present and provide services like home upgrades and additions to the museum, and off-island characters, like Harvey, who runs a special photo studio. There are also a number of characters who will show up infrequently on a rotating basis, like K.K. Slider, who can give the player music recordings to play on their in-home audio devices, and Flick, who hosts bug-catching competitions in which both players and other NPC island residents can participate.

Modo, who appears to be a Komodo dragon, is Flick's cousin and would provide a higher-profit option for those looking to sell bugs, offering an even higher price for harmful bugs like New Horizons' tarantulas and scorpions.
One interesting theme in all of these characters is that, while New Horizons offers a lot of specialized merchants and other special NPCs to address specific needs, there are still some aspects of the game that don't have an NPC assigned to them, and the fan-created characters here fill those roles. Amalie, who appears to be some sort of prehistoric crustacean, would buy Animal Crossing players' unneeded duplicate fossils that aren't of use to the museum,
