Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 launches tomorrow for Xbox Series X/S and PC, offering more planes, an impressive “digital twin” of Earth to explore, and a new Career Mode. The latter has been the subject of much discussion since it allows for taking on various jobs as a pilot.
Players can begin as rookies, taking certification exams and expanding their skills, or established pilots. You’ll need to ace those jobs and complete optional objectives to earn the most Credit, but if you’re concerned about difficulty, there’s good news. An Xbox Wire article diving into Career Mode revealed that missions will have a difficulty rating, affected by factors like “poor weather.”
Whether you’re a rookie or pilot, trying to get more experience without wading into the deep end, it’s ideal for gauging how challenging a mission will be. The full range of factors that could increase the difficulty rating has yet to be detailed, so stay tuned.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be available on November 19th at 8 AM PST/11 AM EST. Head here for what’s different from its predecessor.
