Mild-mannered Bruce Banner and his alter-ego, the Hulk, are one of the Vanguard characters you can use in , with abilities designed to create an unstoppable force for any team. This original Avenger uses gamma radiation and incredible strength to dismantle enemies. With some of the largest health in the game, Hulk is perfect for those looking for a tank whose incredible bulk makes them hard to defeat.
Vanguards are one of the three character classes in, along with Duelists and Specialists. The Vanguard archetype refers to characters with higher health, whose abilities are designed to keep them alive as well as deal damage. Unlike Duelists, such as Moon Knight in , Vanguards are intended to be tanks more than DPS characters, surviving for longer to disrupt enemy teams.
Even among Vanguards, Hulk is unique as the character has abilities shared across three different forms. You start the game as Bruce Banner, a frail scientist with a simple pistol empowered by gamma radiation. You have to transform into the Hulk to utilize his ridiculously high health, but you can do this right away, as you begin matches with a full Ultimate charge to into the Hero Hulk form.
Marvel Rivals has officially launched on PC and consoles. Featuring 6v6 battles with over 33 different playable heroes and villains, there are so many characters to choose from. That being said, some of my favorite heroes so far have been Moon Knight, Wolverine, and Scarlet Witch. Each one features incredibly unique gameplay, and I've really been vibing with all three of them so far.
Gaining an Ultimate in Hero Hulk form allows you to transform again into Monster Hulk, another form with extra abilities. Knowing all the skills at your disposal in each form is key to playing the Hulk well, especially since getting defeated as Hero Hulk reverts you into Bruce Banner. Below are all the abilities Hulk has in every form:
