One side story in called has players help a local school teacher by answering a few questions about geography from their students in exchange for a couple of rewards. In addition, players can help out anyone that approaches protagonist Sakamoto Ryoma and are recommended to do so if they want to increase their overall Virtue.
The Global Fraud substory doesn't unlock until players have reached Chapter 3 of the main story of 's stylish samurai tale, which allows them to pass the large gate leading to the Rakunai area. When passing by the corner between South Teramachi Street and Teramachi Street, a school teacher approaches Ryoma looking worried. A brief discussion occurs where the teacher voices their need for help with teaching their students about locations on a globe he doesn't quite understand. Players may choose to attend his class as the teacher's «apprentice» to prevent the man from being exposed as a fraud by answering whatever questions the children might ask.
