In Patch 10.1 Embers of Neltharion, Fyrakk wrecks havoc through the Dragon Isles zones by setting them on fire in assault events. We participated in an event to bring in all the known details!
When do Fyrakk Assaults Happen?On the 10.1 PTR (and we hope on live as well once the patch is released!), Fyrakk assaults are always available, with Fyrakk's attacking a zone every day. The zone attacked by Fyrakk changes on the daily reset.Assault rewards still placeholder.
Fyrakk Assault BasicsOnce you approach the area assaulted by Fyrakk, the atmosphere will change dramatically, with the skies turning fiery orange and the area surrounded by Primalist forces. It is a striking change, especially when compared to more cool-colored areas like the snowy plains of the Azure Span. One of the main activities in a Fyrakk Assault is the world quest associated with it, which requires you to collect materials to summon and defeat stronger primalist forces, like Suffusion Camp: Cinderwind:
Collect Ward of Igira from killing normal Primalist mobs in the assault area; Use 5 Ward of Igira at Suffusion Crucibles scattered around the assault area to summon Elite mobs — These will drop Ward of Fyrakk; Use 5 Ward of Fyrakk at the Suffusion Mold to summon the Forgemaster responsible for the assault. This will also give you an Everburning Key; Killing the Forgemaster ends the World Quest; Collecting 3 Everburning Key allows you to open a Supply Chest in the assault area, granting more loot (as of the first 10.1 PTR build, there is no loot on these chests).
