One of the first significant bosses to beat in comes from Fallen Archbishop Andreus, whose boss fight is unlike any of the other encounters you've experienced until this point in the game. The main enemy of the St. Frangelico Cathedral Chapel takes moves from former enemies with deadly twists you might not expect. Fallen Archbishop Andreus is a variation on the Carcass enemy seen around Krat in your journey, meaning the boss has vulnerabilities to fire and electric attacks. Equip and upgrade a weapon or Legion Arm that gives you access to either of these damage types, such as the Electric Coil. You will have far more tools to exchange at Stargazers than in early-game battles against enemies like the Parade Master in .

A general strategy against Fallen Archbishop Andreus is to dodge forward against their attacks to strike during the first phase and pay attention to the new moves in phase 2. Most of the first section of the fight consists of the boss using combo strikes and slams in quick succession, making your movement very important. Depending on how you leveled up in , you may have more mobility to work with.
Stay patient in the beginning, evading or blocking moves like the tongue lashthat will deal huge damage if you get hit. One of the most dangerous attacks in this phase is the Body Slam, where Andreus glows red for a Fury Attack before standing and slamming back down into the ground. You can use a Perfect Guard in to counter this move, but the speed at which the boss falls makes this fairly difficult.
