Baldur's Gate 3 is a pretty difficult game at the best of times, with a bunch of tough enemies waiting around every corner to absolutely wipe the floor with you and your party. One of the game's toughest foes is Raphael, the charismatic cambion who you meet part way through Act 1. Not only does he have a ridiculous amount of health, but he also has two helpers and some pretty wild spells at his disposal. You will need to prepare before you fight him, especially since the game's most recent patch has made him even harder.
If you were struggling to beat Raphael before, you might want to look away now. A number of changes have been made to the Raphael boss fight, on both regular and Tactician difficulty modes. Raphael already had a sizable 666 health and armor class of 27, but now his level has been increased to 16 and his Wisdom Score has been boosted too.

His attacks have also received a few buffs. For starters, Raphael now attacks with claws with his unarmed attacks, his Diabolical Chains are now more powerful and can strike up to three people at the cost of reduced damage, and his Hellfire spells have been fixed and will now pierce fire resistance like they were originally supposed to. If you think that's bad, those of you who play in Tactician Mode are in for it much worse.
On top of all of those previously mentioned buffs, Raphael now has the ability to Multi-Attack twice on the same turn in Tactician Mode, giving him the ability to dish out even more damage, making him a lot deadlier. Thankfully, he's been nerfed a little bit too, but his new susceptibility to controlling and incapacitating condition effects hardly levels things out, especially
