Anyone entrenched in the Apple ecosystem is probably familiar with iCloud, the company's take on cloud storage. But the iCloud experience has always been best from your iPhone or iPad. Now, new updates to iCloud.com vastly improve the web experience.
Last year, Apple redesigned iCloud.com to look prettier with widget support but left something to be desired in functionality. This latest update helps resolve that miss, thanks to valuable features and improvements on what the web experience can do.
The Photos app, for instance, can now show you Memories, curated collections of photos, and full-screen slideshows. And while you could get to iCloud emails from the website, you couldn't create a new email address or get browser notifications when new emails arrived on PC. This latest overhaul addresses both of those pain points, along with the ability to undo a sent message and attach files and photos directly from iCloud Drive or Photos in the web interface.
Other widgets are more functional now, as well: you can delete emails, preview photos, and download documents in the web interface. You can also customize the widgets to display a specific mail inbox or pictures or choose a specific folder for your Notes.
Apple also improved search within the app, so you can find the Note or photo you're looking for more easily. You won't have to do anything to get the new update; just head to iCloud.com, and you should already have the new experience.
