KLab Inc. has dropped some news on their upcoming JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure game. In case you don’t know, they announced back in early 2020 that they’ve acquired the distribution rights for a JoJo mobile game. They collaborated with Shengqu Games from China to develop the game.
But later, things went sideways with their initial development partner, causing everything to grind to a halt. Now, KLab has released a statement announcing the resumption of the upcoming JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure game. This time, they’ve teamed up with Wanda Cinemas Games from Beijing.
The project went through some rough patches since its announcement, but now it’s back on track. The upcoming JoJo game by KLab is now slated for a worldwide release (excluding Japan) in 2026.
Wanda Cinemas Games has worked on many well-known mobile titles, such as Hoolai Three Kingdoms Mobile Game, Calabash Brothers, Fortress Mobile Game, Saint Seiya: Legend of Justice, Tensura: King of Monsters and The Legend of Qin.
If you want to learn more about the upcoming game, you can head to the official website of the game. And if you don’t know about the manga, here’s a quick lowdown. The universe of JoJo’s is a surreal version of the real world, peppered with supernatural elements and epic battles. You’ll see different plots and twists, like stopping ancient vampire overlords or untangling interdimensional conspiracies.
This isn’t JoJo’s first foray into gaming. The first one was the RPG that dropped on the Super Famicom in 1993. Post that, there have been many different games based on the series. On Android, we’ve seen titles like JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Shooters (2014), JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Records (2017, and JoJo’s Pitter Patter Pop! (2018) becoming popular already.
