Information about an as-yet unannounced Aliens Fireteam Elite 2 has seemingly appeared online.
A document, which appears to contains information on the unannounced game, is circulating on social media.
The game, code named Project Macondo, is scheduled to release in Q3 of 2025, according to the document.
The game will serve as a sequel to Aliens Fireteam Elite, and feature new modes such as Annihilation, which will be the game’s spin on Horde Modes found in several other shooters.
The document appears to outline the scope of the project, suggesting that it may have been produced some time ago, and certain information may be out of date. During the course of a game’s development, several similar documents will be produced.
According to the document, “unlike Aliens Fireteam Elite, Project Macondo will feature fixed preset character archetypes and non-customizable characters.”
According to the document, the game is not planned to feature micro-transactions, loot boxes or gatcha mechanics.
The game also isn’t planned to feature in-game voice chat, the document instead suggests that players use the console voice chat applications.
Released in 2023 Aliens Fireteam Elite was developed by Cold Iron Studio in collaboration with Disney’s 20th Century Games.
Players take on the role of Colonial Marines investigating a mysterious distress call from a colony called LV-895, where they come face to face with waves of Xenomorphs.
