AMD's Ryzen 9 7900X3D CPU is currently available for a low price of just $309 US, the lowest it has ever been since its launch.
AMD's Ryzen 9 7900X3D was released earlier this year as a 12-core 3D V-Cache CPU. Compared to the other two 3D V-Cache options within the Zen 4 lineup, the Ryzen 9 7950X3D and the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, the 7900X3D didn't receive that much consumer attention since it is technically a 6-core 3D V-Cache part while the other two have 8-cores boosted by the 3D V-Cache stack, making them a better solution for gaming applications in general.
But the AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D is a 12-core CPU and offers great multi-threaded efficiency and even with just 6 cores, it is a very decent gaming solution. At launch, the CPU was priced at an MSRP of $599 US and while we have seen the chip drop below $350 US recently, it is now available for even lower.
The latest discount comes from eBay through Antonline who are selling the chip for $309.99 US, a 48% price drop versus the MSRP. This is great pricing as the chip holds lots of gaming potential & if gaming isn't your thing, then you can also expect great multi-threaded performance. Besides the Ryzen 9 7900X3D, other Ryzen 7000 CPUs have also been getting similar price cuts in anticipation of the next-gen Ryzen 9000 CPUs based on the Zen 5 core architecture.
As for specifications, the AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D CPU is based on the Zen 4 core architecture and features a total of 12 cores and 24 threads. The CPU has a base clock of 4.40 GHz & boosts up to 5.60 GHz. The CPU features 12 MB of L2 and 128 MB of L3 cache of which 64 MB is stacked on top of a singular CCD. The CPU has a base TDP of 120W and features a Radeon 610M iGPU with 2 CUs for light workloads and troubleshooting purposes. Overall,
