One Hogwarts Legacy player explores the open world and comes across what appears to be a nod to From Software and its popular Dark Souls games. Easter eggs are a popular way for developers to hide content within a game for players to find, especially in sprawling landscapes found within open world games. The latest title to fit this genre is Hogwarts Legacy, a game that brings the Wizarding World universe established inside the Harry Potter books to life.
Hogwarts Legacy, while taking place much earlier in that timeline, lets players explore iconic locations like the castle grounds of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Hogsmeade Village, the Dark Forest, and more. With such a large world to populate, the developers at Avalanche Software took the opportunity to hide plenty of secrets for players to find including many from the books and moves like the book where Tom Riddle first learned about Horcruxes. However, these secrets aren't limited to just the franchise as one player found a pretty clear nod to the Dark Souls franchise.
