Due to the popularity of Harry Potter, its surprising that a game like Hogwarts Legacy hasn’t released sooner. But since day one, it has been a hit among fans. Already, the game has a massive player base and has broken viewership records on Twitch. This is only set to continue, especially now that there is a Hogwarts Legacy VR mod in the works.
The Hogwarts Legacy VR mod is being developed by Flat2VR. If you aren’t familiar with their work, they have produced VR mods for other popular titles in the past such as Final Fantasy XIV and Resident Evil 2. They have given fans a sneak peek with a 10-inute first look at some gameplay from their Hogwarts Legacy VR mod.
The footage takes us on a tour of some of the hallways in the school and shows off interactions with characters and objects. The Hogwarts Legacy map is huge, and if you’re later on in the campaign, you may have already discovered that there is a whole southern side. Therefore, the gameplay footage has only given us a miniscule taste of what the environments look like in VR.
You’ll be able to play through Hogwarts Legacy in third person and even first person with this mod to truly immerse yourself into the world of wizards and witches. Cutscenes can play in first person and everything you need such as your objectives and subtitles will remain on screen while in this view.
The VR mod for Hogwarts Legacy is definitely impressive, especially considering the fact that the game’s early access period has only just come to an end. At the time of writing, there is no confirmed release date for the mod. If you have the VR gear, you’re in for a truly magical experience.
