The GTA 6 trailer was remade using GTA V's assets, further highlighting how big the visual quality gap will be between the two main entries in the series.
While the remade trailer, which was put together by GTA Belgium, highlights the visual quality difference between the two games, it also highlights how the fifth entry in the series has stood the test of time surprisingly well, which is quite an achievement, considering the game originally released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
That GTA 6 will be one of the best-looking open-world games ever made is almost guaranteed, as the sixth entry in the series is looking much better than the already great-looking Red Dead Redemption 2. As the trailer features work-in-progress footage, it will be very interesting to see how the final version of the game will look and how ray tracing will push the series' visuals further. The current-generation GTA V update first introduced ray tracing to the series, but it seems like the next entry in the series will use a completely different lighting system for global illumination and reflections.
GTA 6 will release sometime in 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series. A PC version wasn't announced, though it is likely it will launch some time after the game debuts on consoles, as was the case with both GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2
