SNK’s contributions to the fighting genre’s consistent momentum will continue in 2025 with the return of the Garou franchise with Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and the developer has now showcased another character that will be featured in the game’s roster at launch. For fans of SNK’s past works, he will be a familiar face.
Martial artist Gato, who has previously appeared in Garou: Mark of the Wolves and multiple King of Fighters titles, will be featured in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves as a playable character. Having mostly regained his sight, he’s ready to step back into the ring, primarily so he can settle a score with his father. Gato will be voiced by Yuma Yamaguchi in Japanese, and by Cory Yee in English. Check out the trailer below for a look at the fighter.
Gato joins several previously revealed fighters for the game’s launch roster, including Terry Bogard, Rock Howard, Mai Shirunai, Kim Dong Hwan, Hotaru Futaba, and Tizoc, among others. SNK says the game will receive three years of post-launch content. Street Fighter’s Ken and Chun-Li will be included in its first year DLC.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is due out on April 24 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PC.
