A player who goes by SeraiStorms on Reddit points out that some characters seem to make the game "" for them, and many fellow fans agree. Luckily, while there's no actual way to mute characters, there is a workaround that lets players choose which characters they have to see around the Valley.
The offending characters for SeraiStorms are Donald Duck and Vanellope, but a few other characters have the fans fed up. Luckily, vonn_v has a fix that works a lot of the time (though not always). According to vonn_v, players are able to "" by opening the character list via the map. From there, they can click on the character they don't want to see around the Valley. This keeps the characters confined to their home and makes it, so players don't have to hear them anymore.
There are a few exceptions; players will still see the character when they eat at the restaurants or visit Scrooge's shop. They'll also appear on the overworld when the player has an ongoing quest with them. Otherwise, though, this is an effective method to «mute» a character by removing them from sight entirely.
