Exynos 1480 Geekebench 6 Scores Show How the CPU Performs Better Than the Exynos 2100, Comparable Performance to Exynos 2200
Samsung will be launching a slew of new devices next year, and all eyes are going to be on the Galaxy S24 series. We simply cannot forget the Galax A35 and Galaxy A55 devices that will be coming shortly after. These new phones are going to bring the new Exynos 1480 chipset, and today, we have some scores of the chipset, which proves that Samsung might be onto something.
Exynos 1480 has just been spotted on Geekbench, and based on looking at the scores, it is evident that Samsung has actually worked hard on this chipset, as the scores are rather impressive.
As you can see in the image above, the Exynos 1480 scores a respectable 1,180 in single-core scores and 3,536 in multi-core scores. This might not mean much without any context, but when you look at the fact that the scores are comparable to the Exynos 2200 and better than the Exynos 2100, you start realizing that Samsung is actually working on making sure that the budget chipset does deliver good performance.
As you can see in the screenshot above, the Exynos 1480 is not really all that behind the Exynos 2200. There is a significant gap when you are looking at the single-core scores of both chipsets, but other than that, I don't see how there is a major performance difference.
The Exynos 1480 is going to go official, and if you have been waiting for it to debut on phones, then the Galaxy A35 and the Galaxy A55 are the ones that will be boasting the new chipset.
