Aspyr's has brought both of Pandemic Studios' acclaimed 2000s-era games to modern devices. As well as remastering the wealth of content from the base games, Aspyr has incorporated many other bonus elements such as characters and levels to make for a complete package for both newcomers and more experienced players to enjoy.
Much like with the inclusion of two bonus playable characters, Asajj Ventress and Kit Fisto, the will have maps that were only available previously via DLC exclusive to Xbox Live or patches on PC. While original Xbox and PC players would be familiar with these locations, this will be the first time these maps will be available on PlayStation and Nintendo devices.
Yavin 4: Arena is set in a clearing in the forest, and as its name would suggest, involves battling in an ancient arena located in its center, alongside various other ruins. This map was originally only available on and on via the Xbox-exclusive DLC. This map is fairly simplistic, featuring five total Command Posts situated at the East and West boxes, the Altar located to the north of the map, and the Gate located to its south, alongside the Arena post in the middle of the map.
This area of Yavin didn't appear in either the original trilogy or the prequels. It did, however, feature in Genndy Tartakovsky's original 2003 mini-series where Anakin Skywalker had a duel with Asajj Ventress, a Sith assassin from Dathomir. With both Anakin Skywalker and Asajj Ventress being playable in 's version of the map, it's possible to recreate this showdown, making for a nice addition over its predecessor, in which neither character could be used on this map.
Rhen Var: Citadel is a medium-sized map set on the Outer Rim's ice world of Rhen Var where the Great Sith War was fought approximately 4,000 years before the fall of the Republic. This map can be accessed during 's Historical Campaign, but was also included in 's Xbox DLC.
