As reported by Eurogamer, Battle.net is down, which means that players cannot access Hearthstone, Overwatch 2, and Diablo 4 to name a few.
Blizzard says that this is an issue with authentication servers, resulting in "failed or slow login attempts", though what exactly caused the issues has not been divulged.

With a slew of players wondering why they can't get online, Blizzard's customer support tweeted, "We apologise once again for the inconvenience caused by today's outages, we're working to resolve this ASAP."
Reddit has been flooded with complaints for hours now as those across myriad communities have run into the same error. "My Overwatch was working fine until today," Alternative_Door_252 posted. "It says I have been disconnected from Battle.nnet services and I don't know why. When I went on to my Blizzard account and checked my Overwatch profile, it said the profile was not found."
If you're running into a similar issue with any of the Battle.net games, there is a temporary workaround. It seems to be an EU-centric problem right now, and so switching your Battle.net and game regions to the US fixes the problem. On the Call of Duty Warzone subreddit, fcpl and JakemaKun explained, "EU servers are down, switch to US on login form page, the game region is set from the gear (settings) icon next to the game launch button".
When asked directly on Twitter when we can expect to see the EU servers come back online, Blizzard customer support replied, "No specific ETA at the moment, but rest assured we're doing everything we can to restore services as quickly as possible."
