Dermot Mulroney Is a Death Row Inmate in Like Father Like Son
Lionsgate has released a new Like Father Like Son trailer, previewing the upcoming emotional thriller starring Dermot Mulroney, Ariel Winter, and more.
The trailer highlights the story of Eli (Dylan Flashner), the son of a death row inmate (Mulroney) who begins to feel like he’s becoming like his father. As he tries to avoid these instances, he begins taking extreme measure to keep from becoming like his father.
Like Father Like Son is set to release in theaters, on demand, and digitally on January 31, 2025.

Like Father Like Son is written and directed by Barry Jay. Alongside Mulroney in his role, the film also stars Dylan Flashner, Ariel Winter, Vivica A. Fox, Jim Klock, Prima Apollinaare, Eric Michael Cole, and Mayim Bialik.
The film is described as an “emotional thriller about the lengths one man will go to end a brutal cycle of violence. Eli is a young man whose father waits on death row for the crime of murder in the first degree. As Eli’s life begins to fall apart, he discovers similar terrifying triggers in himself and takes extreme measures to ensure that the family’s string of savagery comes to an end.”
The film is produced by Charles Arthur Berg, Lucas Jarach, Jim Klock, Margarita Reyes, and Chadwick Struck. Lionsgate is set to distribute the film.
