Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding sequel will be titled Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, a reliable industry insider has said. The source also shared some additional information about the upcoming game that suggests more official Death Stranding 2 news will finally be coming in 2024.
Death Stranding 2 was originally announced at The Game Awards 2022 with an extended trailer composed of in-engine cutscenes. In a true Kojima fashion, the video offered more questions than answers about the Death Stranding sequel despite having a runtime of over four minutes. Little else has been revealed about the game ever since.

Billbil-kun also reports that the game's second trailer is set to drop in the immediate future, having forecast that to happen at some point in the next 15 days, so no later than early February. That claim dovetails with the fact Sony has held PlayStation State of Play broadcasts in February for four of the past five years. Industry insider Jeff Grubb also believes a new State of Play is on the horizon, having said as much during an early January episode of the Giant Bombcast podcast.
As for the video itself, the second Death Stranding 2 trailer might have been in the works for a long while now. Specifically, Kojima was spotted editing a State of Play-related Premiere Pro project back in late September, although that video still hasn't seen the light of day.
