Respawn Entertainment, the developer behind the Star Wars Jedi series and Apex Legends, seems to be in the early stages of developing a first-person Mandalorian game. Sadly, it appears to be set during an earlier, pre-Grogu timeframe, but the prospect of hunting bounties for the Galactic Empire seems like a fun time.
Word comes to us by way of an exclusive from Insider Gaming, whose sources say it will have a focus on fast-paced, frenetic gameplay; the impression we get is of a single-player Apex Legends set in the Star Wars universe, which, quite frankly, sounds sick. Playing as an unknown Mandalorian bounty hunter, this mobility will be facilitated by the iconic jetpack, which can perform horizontal dashing, vertical jumping, and boost sliding (think Apex's downhill slide). These sources describe the game as «very fast-paced», which is encouraged by the player's health predominately being restored through successive kills.
Gadgetry like Boba Fett's wrist rocket, grappling hook, and augmented visor to profile intergalactic degenerates were teased, and it's understood the game will be made up of linear levels taking place across the galaxy, in iconic locations from across the Star Wars universe. Insider's sources suggest Respawn is still likely around two years away from release, and we're sure to learn more in the intervening months.

This sounds cool. But I
