Company of Heroes 3 was released for PC a few months ago and today, the series sees its first release on consoles. SEGA of Europe and Relic Entertainment have brought the World War II real-time strategy game to current generation consoles with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series receiving a game that was tailored for control use. The game is available on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, or physically from Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Target and Gamestop. Company of Heroes 3 offers dual campaigns that offer two completely different experiences.
Relic Entertainment has worked with community content creator MoiDawg to get console players combat-ready with basic training videos. These videos will cover the HUD, navigating the Command Wheel, Full Tactical Pause, how to navigate the map, and other tips and tricks. The game is built for gamepads with the Command Wheel. This allows players to quickly issue commands to soldiers and allow quick maneuvers and strategies. Full Tactical Pause in the single player modes allow players to stop the action if they get overwhelmed. This can be used to realign strategies, issue new orders and watch the action play out on the battlefield.
There aren’t many (if any) real-time strategy games that offer two separate campaigns in the way that Relic has introduced with Company of Heroes 3. The game focuses on two areas of battle during World War II: Italy and North Africa. The North African Operation is a traditional-style campaign with linear missions, but Relic has included a narrative with this campaign.
