Square Enix today dropped a brand new trailer for the second entry in its Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
Final Fantasy XVI isn’t out yet, but Square Enix is already getting the ball rolling for its next mainline entry. Today’s Summer Game Fest wrapped with a surprise trailer for the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. The trailer features a look at the story, gameplay, and expansive world players will get to explore in Rebirth.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth picks up after the events of Final Fantasy VII Remake. Cloud and company have successfully altered the timeline and escaped Midgar to embark on a quest to defeat Sephiroth. Rebirth will incorporate elements from the original VII, such as the party’s journey to Nibelheim, along with new story elements created by the party’s interference in the timeline.
