WoW Community Council Live Chat on WoW Classic (Wrath Classic and Season of Discovery) — Dec 2023
Community Council Live Chat With Developers Summary
- Blizzard plans to take lessons learned from the Battle for Ashenvale event for future events.
- Leading up to Season of Discovery, it could have been made more apparent to players that some Runes will be harder to obtain than others. This friction is what makes the game compelling. Blizzard plans to build on the new roles unlocked from Runes in future phases.
- While the Supply Crates are frustrating for players, Blizzard has heard this feedback a lot. They didn't share any details regarding future changes to making Supply Crated non-unique.
- Blizzard likes the idea of Melee-weaving Hunter and wants to support it more in future phases.
- Many players are completing quests for gold, but this means they will not have those quests available for experience when the next phase begins. One idea Blizzard shared about a new way to gain experience, possibly making Supply Crate turn-ins grant some experience?
- Players will be able to keep their characters when the Season ends. Blizzard is discussing within the team and receiving feedback on what type of realm those characters will go when the Season ends.
- When Blizzard makes design choices for Classic or Seasonal content, they do take narrative into account when making a change.
