Call of Duty: Warzone has significantly nerfed the Renetti's JAK Ferocity Carbine Kit, which has become controversial in recent weeks. Before the nerf, the Call of Duty: Warzone pistol's conversion kit saw it become a powerful SMG better than almost all other meta options.
Following widespread complaints from the Warzone community, Call of Duty recently confirmed that a Renetti nerf would arrive in the near future. While the Renetti itself is a useful handgun, its JAK Ferocity Carbine Kit transforms it into a short-barreled SMG and allows users to equip regular attachments. Following recent nerfs to other popular SMGs and buffs to the Renetti, players quickly realized that a decked-out JAK Ferocity Renetti was an incredibly capable weapon at short range, with many arguing that it was overpowered. Fortunately for those frustrated with the kit, Warzone's development team has responded.
The Renetti JAK Ferocity Carbine Kit's maximum damage, minimum damage, maximum damage range, lower torso damage multiplier, and arms and hands damage multiplier have all been decreased by varying percentages. The biggest changes are its max damage being decreased from 36 to 28 and its max damage range being decreased from 17.52 meters to 12.44 meters. These adjustments should have a noticeable effect while using the Renetti kit, especially during non-short-range engagements. The Renetti nerf was the only change included in Warzone's April 10 update, highlighting the importance that the game's development team seems to have placed on this issue.
Warzone users in search of a new SMG have plenty of options, with weapons like Call of Duty's HRM-9 and Striker 9 being particularly popular at this time.
