Baldur's Gate 3 has been picking up various awards pretty consistently over the past few months, having swept The Game Awards and countless other ceremonies. With only the BAFTAs being the last major awards show left, many were hoping for yet another strong showing for developer Larian Studios. Expectedly, Baldur's Gate 3 has done pretty well, taking home the grand prize for Best Game.
Up against the likes of Alan Wake 2, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Dave the Diver, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and Marvel's Spider-Man 2 (man, last year was great for games), Baldur's Gate 3 managed to come out on top to earn yet another Game of the Year award, but Larian has also managed to snag a couple of other BAFTAs as well, which are the award for Best Music and the Player's Choice.
While it was expected that Baldur's Gate 3 would come out on top, it's worth noting that the BAFTAs does like to throw up a surprise every now and then. Even discounting the surprise winners in this year's show, it was Vampire Survivors that actually won the award for Best game last year, beating the likes of God of War: Ragnarok and Elden Ring, two titles that people thought were a shoo-in for the award.
