Hand of Fate
Hand of Fate is the introductory talent to the tree, explaining the core concepts. Whenever a damaging finisher (Crimson Tempest/Rupture/Envenom, and Slice and Dice more recently as of Alpha Build 54675) is used with 5 or more combo points, a coin is flipped that can land on Fatebound Coin (Heads) or Fatebound Coin (Tails). Depending on whether it lands on Fatebound Coin (Heads) or Fatebound Coin (Tails), you get a different benefit in combat.
- Fatebound Coin (Heads) gives a simple buff that increases all damage. This includes bleeds that are already applied.
- Fatebound Coin (Tails) is a simple cosmic damage proc to your target. While this can proc from Crimson Tempest, it will still only hit your current target. The tails proc also has a massive 100 yard range apparently, but currently does not pull far away mobs or pull through walls, so there is no cause for panic regarding that.
It's important to note that Cosmic damage is a multi-school damage type that includes Arcane, Holy, Shadow, and most importantly, Nature damage. Because this is also a «class mechanic» and not an external
