BoA Ring Runes Datamined on Season of Discovery Phase 4 PTR
Blizzard recently released Development Notes outlining many new features coming to Season of Discovery in Phase 4, and we’ve been hard at work datamining a wide assortment of Ring Runes from the PTR to help fill in some of the blanks!
There's clearly a theme here, as each one of these Runes grants either Spell Hit or Weapon Skill to help player damage connect with the intended target — Rune of Defense Specialization being the exception, instead bolstering Defense. Perhaps the most interesting thing about these Runes is that they all appear to be Bind on Account, meaning once a player has unlocked these Runes with one character they'll be usable on all characters — potentially great news for players with several alts! Keep in mind, the above Runes have been datamined from the PTR, so they're certainly subject to change.
These Ring Runes seem to be directly tied to Blizzard's promise to reduce how critical Racial weapon bonuses have been up to this point. With these Runes to level the playing field, players are far more likely to choose different classes instead of attempting to find the «optimal» one for their class and spec.
