An incredible mod for brings in one iconic creature that players didn't know they needed until now. Though this is a ground-up remake of the original game,, many new features, graphical updates, and dinosaurs have been added. There is already a new DLC map from the original game, available free for all players.
The creature in question is known as a Prismorax, and thanks to cyrusCreates on CurseForge, there is now a mod that can bring the kaiju to life in. It is important to note that the Prismorax is not actually a Godzilla and is not associated with the Godzilla brand or Toho company, despite its uncanny resemblance.
This giant creature packs a huge punch and can take on even the most powerful beast in Ark. In a video created by DarkEdgeTV SURVIVAL they pit the Prismorax up against a few powerful dinosaurs, and each time it ends up with the same result; absolute destruction.
Ark: Survival Ascended adds one new dinosaur that has some amazing possibilities, but one flaw of the creature makes it a large hassle to use.
The Prismorax has a few iconic moves, like the radiation beam power-up that makes the scales on its back glow in a beautiful rainbow pattern. Each time anything tries to take it down, a single blast from its beat deals over 400 points of damage, but like any kaiju it takes time to recharge that attack. This Prismorax is massive in the world, taking up more space than most dinosaurs that are typically seen, and puts even the coolest dinosaur in to shame.
One thing to note is that this mod is not quite finished, so bugs are still likely to occur. As seen in DarkEdgeTV Survival's video, a lot of crashes can and will happen. The base game graphics of can take a toll on the player's computers if they aren't prepared, so adding even more strain through a mod might be too much for a lesser upgraded computer to handle.
Even powerful PCs might have a difficult time keeping up with more than one mod, so players are warned to take that into consideration
