The Epic Games Store’s latest free titles have been announced.
Confirming an earlier leak, Redout 2 is now free to download from Epic’s PC marketplace until June 20.
Released in 2022 and normally priced at $19.99 / £16.49, it’s a futuristic racing game from developer 34BigThings and publisher Saber Interactive.
“Redout 2 is a tribute to classic arcade racing games and the sequel to the critically acclaimed Redout, where racing through the dystopian wastelands of a semi-abandoned Earth is one of the galaxy’s most popular sports,” reads an official description of the title.
Until June 20, Epic is also giving away the Duke Ravengard’s Champions of Renown Pack for Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms, which it claims is worth “over $100”.
Next week’s free Epic Games Store title has also been announced. Freshly Frosted, from developer and publisher The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild, will be free to claim from June 20-27.
Normally priced at $9.99 / £7.99, the game challenges players to “place conveyor belts to solve puzzles in the world’s most adorable donut factory”.
Earlier this week, an Epic Games Store database may have leaked many unannounced PC games, including The Last of Us Part 2, a Final Fantasy 9 remake and a Turok title.
The unofficial site, a SteamDB equivalent called EpicDB, went offline after visitors began publicly sharing lists of what appeared to be secret game projects, bringing it to the attention of Epic Games.
“We released an update so third-party tools can’t surface any new unpublished product titles from the Epic Games Store catalogue,” an Epic Games spokesperson told VGC.
