To mark the Japanese launch of Blue Protocol, the Amazon Games team congratulated Bandai Namco on their release, as well as gave some insight and updates on the upcoming Western release.
The update was shared as part of the “Meanwhile in Japan” devblog series over on the Amazon Games Blue Protocol site. Executive Producer Sokichi Shimooka and Amazon Games’ Franchise Lead Mike Zadorojny both shared messages on the doors opening to Regnas for the first time in Japan.
Shimooka takes us back down the long road it took to get the game made and launched.
“It’s been eight long years since the development of the concept behind Blue Protocol, but we have finally made it to Japan’s PC launch! We are grateful to our many fans around the world who have shown interest in this content and who want to travel to this world with us. We are excited to be able to explore Regnas with you all.”
Zadorojny congratulated the Japanese team on their launch and looked ahead. “We’re thrilled for Japanese players to immerse themselves in the world of Regnas and cannot wait for the western community to start their adventure,” he says.
Indeed, Shimooka echoed this in his statement thanking those around the world for not just their interest, but for their patience as they get things up and running in Japan and in the works via Amazon Games for the western release.
“We thank each and every one of you for your patience. Rest assured, we are hard at work to bring this game to fans around the world, and we hope to see you in the Closed Beta in 2023. We wish you all good fortune, and we will see you in Regnas soon!”
