Amazon Luna is now available in the UK, Canada and Germany
Amazon has expanded its Luna cloud service to the UK, Canada and Germany.
From today, players in these countries will be able to use Luna to stream games on their existing devices.
They can also now order the Amazon Luna controller, which is priced at £59.99.
The controller isn’t required to play, however, as players can use other supported third-party controllers, including the Xbox One Controller, DualShock 4 Controller, Razer Kishi Mobile Game Controller or a mouse and keyboard. They can also use their phone as a controller for some games.
Luna can be played on a number of devices, including PC and Mac, iOS, Android, Fire tablets and Fire TV.
Rather than paying for individual games as in the now-defunct Google Stadia, Amazon Luna players instead sign up to one or more subscriptions.
A Luna+ subscription costs £8.99 a month and includes access to over 100 games, including the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes, Control Ultimate Edition, Sonic Mania, Tetris Effect and Yakuza Kiwami 1 and 2.
Players can also subscribe to Ubisoft+ for £14.99 a month, offering access to over 40 Ubisoft games. They can also subscribe to Jackbox Games for £3.99 a month, which gives access to all nine Jackbox Party Pack games.
Players who are already subscribed to Amazon Prime will also get access to a rotating selection of Luna games using their existing membership.
At the time of writing, Prime members can play Mega Man 11, Sail Forth, The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero and Get Packed: Couch Chaos until March 31.
Amazon Luna officially launched in the US on March 1, 2022, following a year and a half of early access. It has remained exclusive in that region until today.
