An incredibly creative fan of Remedy Entertainment's Alan Wake 2 has made a LEGO version of the game's highly memorable We Sing musical sequence. Having been released in October 2023, Alan Wake 2 was able to stand out in a year filled with incredible gaming experiences. The popular sequel later went on to earn eight nominations at the 2023 Game Awards, including one for Game of the Year, and won Best Narrative, Game Direction, and Art Direction.
Early on in Alan Wake 2, near the beginning of Alan's perilous journey through The Dark Place, players encounter a surprising and surreal rock musical sequence entitled «We Sing», featuring Mr. Door, Alex Casey and the Old Gods of Asgard. As players fight their way through Mr. Door's television studio, the Herald of Darkness musical hashes out key moments of Alan Wake's life and story. We Sing quickly became one of the most talked about moments of Alan Wake 2. The sequence was so popular, the cast of Alan Wake 2 involved in We Sing, including the game's writer and director Sam Lake, and Poets of the Fall, the band behind Remedy's fictional Old Gods of Asgard, performed it live on stage at The Game Awards.
Alan Wake 2's surreal We Sing moment has inspired one talented fan to recreate the musical sequence using LEGOs. On Twitter, Elizabeth — IX posted a 90-second clip of Alan Wake 2's popular Herald of Darkness moment, with each character represented by LEGO minifigures. The video starts off with show host Mr. Door's introduction of Alan Wake, using the original audio from the game. An Old Gods of Asgard title card pops up before Mr. Door breaks out into song, and the early part of the musical sequence is faithfully recreated shot-for-shot.
