Erik Todd Dellums, the voice actor behind radio host Three Dog in Fallout 3, says he'd be up for appearing in the Fallout show. This would be the first time Dellums has appeared in the series since Fallout 3, where he gave us the iconic Three Dog performance that's still etched into the minds of players all these years later.
However, rather than reprising the old role, Dellums says that he'd "love" to play a new radio DJ, one that's "darker" than Three Dog, but "just as funny and alluring". It opens up the possibility of us hearing Dellums' take to the wasteland's airwaves once again, perhaps as a cameo in the next season of Fallout.
Fans seem to be very open to the idea, which isn't surprising, given that Three Dog's unforgettable voice lines over the radio in Fallout 3 are a core gaming memory for so many of us. Even when he was calling your character out for their awful behaviour, he was one of the most entertaining parts of the game, so getting to hear his voice actor, even in another role, would be a treat for fans of the games.
Spoilers for season one of Fallout ahead
However, if there's one radio host we can bank on returning in season two, it's Mr. New Vegas from - you guessed it - Fallout: New Vegas. Unlike the hosts in other games, Mr. New Vegas is an AI that's been running for well over 200 years, making it very possible that he's still operating by the time the show takes place. And of course, the season one finale makes it clear that we'll be going to New Vegas in the next season, so cameos like this are likely.
Still, we've had multiple radio stations before, so there's plenty of room for Dellums to make an appearance in some capacity. Maybe the writers will decide that, actually, Three Dog surviving the events of Fallout 3 is canon, and get him in the show too? Season one already made some huge additions to the lore, so this wouldn't be too much of a reach.
