Corpse Husband initially made a name on YouTube, where he narrated horror stories with his distinct deep voice. He later caught many people's attention when he started playing Among Us with streamers like Disguised Toast, Valkyrae, and more, which was where more viewers paid attention to his voice and the cool personality he portrayed. Despite his growing popularity in the streaming space, Corpse had to stop due to the immense pressure of entertaining thousands of viewers.

Corpse has also stated in streams and interviews that he doesn't plan on revealing his identity in the near future, and has felt anxious about people who have tried to pry. Recently, a YouTube video by ShamPee titled «Why Corpse Husband Abandoned his Audience» supposedly revealed the streamer's real name and face. The video garnered over 2 million views before it was taken down in line with YouTube's harassment policy for content that encourages abusive fan behavior, like doxxing. ShamPee also received backlash from Corpse's fans, who called him out for violating the streamer's privacy.
Following the video takedown, ShamPee initially accused «stans» for mass reporting his video, but later admitted his mistake and apologized to Corpse when YouTube explained that he went against its harassment policy. In a reply to one tweet, he said he should've asked his editor to blur out Corpse's face and other personal details.
