The much loved Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago is finally making the leap onto mobile devices, with the game available on Android (and iOS) right now.

Originally launched on Steam and garnering over 400 positive reviews, we feel this title from 14 Hours Productions is arguably more at home on mobile.

That’s because it’s a Tamagotchi style title, but bolstered by RPG mechanics to create a truly immersive experience. The story, such as it is, sees your realm in grave danger.

You are the Guardian Spirit of the realm, and are tasked by the Fairy Queen to raise heroes to protect it from the Frog Lord. 

Raising the elf from an egg, you have to protect them from harsh climates and dangerous creatures. Like you’d expect from a Tamagotchi you also have to enhance their mood via their energy, health and hygiene meters.

Other than your elven buddy you can improve your own stats, including strength, dexterity and intelligence through a range of mini-game training activities. Completing quests also gives you the chance to earn gold too, which can be used for food, potions, and equipment to buff your character.

There are idle gameplay elements at work here too – once your hero is active you can let them complete quests themselves if needed. They’ll let you know when your help is required, and you can queue up to five different tasks to be worked on while you’re away.
