Monument Valley 3 is now out on Android getting published by Netflix. Just like its two prequels, it’s bringing mind-bending puzzles, dreamy vibes and soothing visuals. This third chapter is filled with twisty illusions, impossible pathways and some new features.
Let me walk you through the story first. Monument Valley 3 is giving us a fresh world, new gameplay mechanics and a new story. In the game, the story revolves around Noor. She is an apprentice lightkeeper who’s dealing with a pretty hefty crisis.
The world’s light is fading, and the rising waters are threatening to swallow everything. So, Noor grabs a boat and embarks on a voyage to find a new source of power before her community gets swept away for good.
If you’ve played the previous games, you know what to expect. Puzzles that make you second-guess reality and levels where architecture itself becomes part of the challenge. Take a peek at the game here!
One of the biggest changes in Monument Valley 3 is the exploration. Instead of sticking to fixed paths, you’re now setting off on boat voyages, discovering islands and unlocking the mysteries of new, surreal landscapes.
You’ll uncover secrets behind the Sacred Light and help characters you meet along the way. This chapter also has a charming harbour village where you can interact with the folks you’ve helped rescue.
Visually, Monument Valley 3 takes everything people loved about the first two games. The minimalist art style is still there, but now it pulls inspiration from architecture all over the world, like Persian influences.
The environments are expansive, open with fields of corn to rush through, waves to ride over and structures that mess with your sense of space. So, check out Monument Valley 3 on the Google Play Store.
